Morning Service –

9:45am

Sundays – 9:45am @ 16 Smart Street, Charlestown

Why Charlestown?

When anyone looks for a new church, they often look for a few things:

– As any real estate agent would say, location, location, location! We are in the heart of Charlestown, which is within 15 minutes of most of eastern Lake Macquarie, and Newcastle.

Good Bible teaching. We’d like to think that Stephen does a good sermon, but we’ll invite you along so you can hear it yourself!

Something for the kids. We have kids church from 3 years up, and creche leaders for the little ones 6 months and older.

– Bible Reading & PrayerWe start every sermon with the section of scripture we are looking at, as well as prayer to prepare us for hearing God’s word.

– Fellowship. Our morning service always concludes with a cuppa and a morning tea out the back in the original church building – the very same building we started services in way back in 1923. We also have several Bible study groups, walking groups and activities for young, old, and skill specific.

What We Do

Volunteering:

No church can function without the generosity of their volunteers. We use our gifts in several areas such as music, hospitality, discipleship, witnessing, preaching, administration and more.

Growth Groups:

Learning more about our creator is better together. We have several growth groups to create a safe environment where we can chat to fellow believers about the Bible, relationships, life and live better in fellowship together.

Events:

Not to be biased, but Charlestown Presbyterian runs the best events. From gala concerts, trivia nights, fundraising events and mission days, we do it all! Keep an eye out on our Facebook page to see what’s on, or grab a copy of the weekly bulletin.

Kids Church:

We believe that it is our responsibility to pass on the good news to all – and that starts with our kids! Kids church runs every Sunday during the service.

Global Mission:

Not only do we look to those in our own backyard, but we look to partner with other churches around the world. Our current mission partnership is with several churches in Vanuatu, which we send a team of 12 every year in January.
