Leadership (Nehemiah 5:1-7:3)

Speaker:
Passage: Nehemiah 5:1-7:3
Service:

Hi,

The writer of the book of Hebrews says to us in chapter 10

“Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

It has been difficult for some of us to get to Church in recent times. Not only is there COVID but the cold and flu season has kicked in and going out in that wind hasn’t been very pleasant. Please persevere and come when you can, it really does make a difference to your own spiritual work and also the work of the body of believers in this place.

But if you can’t “continue to spur one another on toward love and good deeds”. Continue to think about how you can encourage others within the Church in faith, hope and love with a call, a text, meeting for coffee or by prayer. Church may be important but what is more important is that is the worship and the encouragement and the growing in love that brought us together in the first place.

This paper service is given to you to help encourage you in your walk with the Lord.

Your brother in Christ,

Stephen
