Why would I let YOU into MY Heaven? Matthew 25
Hi,
In our lead up to Easter we will be picking up the last few chapters of Matthew's gospel. We will slowly but surely hear his teaching about the second coming, travel with him to the upper room, the garden of Gethsemane, the courts of the Sandhedrin, the palace of Pilate and onto the cross and the empty tomb.
Many of these stories are well known. Much of what we read in Matthew's gospel we have read before. But they are so important we want them to fill our hearts and minds. We want them to be our food and drink for the days ahead. We want them to guide and direct us as we seek to follow Jesus in all aspects of our lives.
It starts today with the parable of the sheep of the goats. "Whatever you do to the least of my brothers you do to me."
Today, we have the chance to meet and encourage "the least of Jesus brothers" as we come to Church. Which means that what we do today is not just about us and our family, not just about our Church family but about God's family. What a privilege to be Jesus brothers and sisters. And what a privilege to worship with them today.
Hope this is an encouragement to you today.
Your brother in Christ,
Stephen
