Godliness isn’t proven in ease, but in trials. Our passage will show us how suffering and temptation refine our character and deepen our trust in God. We’ll look at how Jesus’ example gives us strength to endure, and how the Spirit uses hardship to shape godliness in us. In short, even suffering is under God’s sovereign hand and used for our sanctification.
