Our next three stories of Jesus from the gospel of Matthew should make us have a radical rethink about what we are doing in Church and as a Church. As Jesus meets the paralytic and his friends, we need to think about what is the most important need that people have. When we see Jesus eating with Matthew and his friends, we should be challenged by the sort of company that we keep . And then when Jesus is asked about fasting, we should ponder deeply whether we are just doing the traditional things or the things that Jesus would have us do.
